Operating Room Assistant at Emerson Hospital – Concord, Massachusetts

Job Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Room, responsible for transportation of patients within the department and for communication of pertinent information to the RN. Responsibilities for additional functions include general cleaning, ordering and stocking of supplies, acting as transport for specimens and patients on nursing floors, relaying messages, assisting with room turnover. Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered Perioperative nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High school graduate preferred.

Experience

Previous hospital experience preferred.

Licensure and/or Certification

None required.

Skills

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent customer service skills.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. o Computer skills required.

Ability to maintain confidential information.
