CLINIC MEDICAL ASSISTANT NON CERTIFIED at Morris Hospital – CHANNAHON, Illinois

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
  • The Non-Certified Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
• QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional/Educational
    • Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and an externship with expectation to become a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant within 6 months from hire.
    • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
    • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
  • Personal
    • Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics
    • Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
    • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
    • Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
    • Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
