About This Position
Position SummaryWe’re looking for a AV Project Manager to lead audiovisual (AV) integration projects from start to finish. In this role, you’ll serve as the main point of contact for customers and internal teams, guiding projects through planning, execution, commissioning, and close-out.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning projects, staying organized, and working closely with technical teams and clients. You’ll manage schedules, resources, budgets, and communication to keep projects on track and customers informed.Skills & Core StrengthsAudiovisual (AV) integration project managementEnd-to-end project deliveryConstruction-style jobsite coordinationClient and stakeholder communicationScheduling and milestone trackingBudget awareness and cost controlScope and change managementRisk identification and problem-solvingCross-functional team coordinationVendor and subcontractor managementProject documentation and reportingTechnical troubleshooting and system verificationTime management and multi-project prioritizationWhat You’ll DoManage multiple audiovisual (AV)/IT projects from kickoff through close-outServe as the main point of contact for customers and internal teamsSupport project handoff, site surveys, and planning with estimating and engineering teamsBuild and manage project schedules and execution plansCoordinate installers, engineers, programmers, vendors, and subcontractorsAssign responsibilities and track progress to keep projects on scheduleMonitor budgets, labor, materials, and overall project performanceIdentify risks early and drive practical solutionsMaintain project documentation (meeting notes, RFIs, schedules, change orders, logs, close-out packages)Coordinate equipment procurement and deliverySupport system testing, punch-list tracking, and commissioningEnsure customer training and project handoff are completedMaintain accurate record-set documentationWhat We’re Looking ForAssociate degree or higher required; Bachelor’s degree preferred2+ years of project management experience in AV, IT, construction technology, low-voltage, or related fieldsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projectsClear written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with customers and technical teamsProficient with Microsoft Office, Windows, and project management toolsExperience reading scopes, schedules, drawings, and technical documentationWillingness to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight staysFlexibility to support varied project schedulesCertifications:Ability to obtain AVIXA CTS within one yearAbility to obtain PMP within one yearWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork in offices, customer sites, and construction environmentsAbility to walk job sites, climb ladders, and access equipment locationsAbility to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, lift, and carry materialsComfortable working in variable indoor and outdoor conditionsAbout UsAvidex is a leading AV/IT integration company delivering innovative technology solutions across corporate, healthcare, education, and enterprise environments.
