Position Summary

The Director of Programs ensures high-quality program implementation at school campuses by managing onboarding and support for campus-level stakeholders and driving consistent, effective tutor development. This role is critical to the organization’s success in that it manages the Tutor Supervisors who are responsible for the success of program delivery and ensuring a positive, growth-oriented experience for tutors and school partners. As iEducate prepares to scale, the Director of Programs will play a pivotal role in ensuring our programmatic offerings yield the ambitious high impact tutoring related outputs and teacher development and student learning outcomes necessary to maintain success.

Key Responsibilities

Campus Stakeholder Management, Development & Support

  • Ability to translate program goals into an overarching stakeholder coaching strategy that includes clear systems, coaching practices and team routines that drive consistent execution across campuses and achieve program implementation goals.
  • Oversee and support seasonal Tutor Supervisors (TS’s) in onboarding principals, campus coordinators, partner teachers, and other school-based stakeholders.
  • Oversee and support TS’s in campus implementation to ensure fidelity to program model (high impact tutoring dosage, instructional support models) and alignment with district priorities.
  • Oversee and support TS’s in providing ongoing support to campus teams to ensure clarity on program expectations, tutoring schedules, data processes, and communication norms.
  • Use data to identify program implementation needs and adjust support strategies accordingly to achieve program implementation goals

Tutor Management, Development & Support

  • Oversee and support TS’s in their oversight, supervision and management of tutors
  • Create and oversee tutor professional development and coaching strategy to drive tutor effectiveness in teaching skills, professional dispositions and student learning
  • Use data to identify tutor needs and adjust support strategies accordingly to achieve tutor development goals

Program Monitoring & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee and support regular school-site visits, instructional observations, and stakeholder coaching sessions.
  • Track program metrics, support documentation, and alignment with partner commitments.
  • Collaborate with the VP, Partnerships & Programs on improvement strategies and program innovation.

Other Duties as Assigned Including But Not Limited To:

  • When organizational needs require it, the Director of Programs may directly own relationships with campus stakeholders to drive program implementation and/or serve as the direct manager of tutors to drive tutor development and student learning goals
  • Conduct tutor interviews

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in K–12 education leadership, team management, direct supervision of staff, program management
  • Track record of leading teams and campus initiatives to achieve measurable program and student learning outcomes
  • Track record of success in dramatically improving student academic outcomes and coaching educators to do the same
  • Excellent professional development session facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Experience using program frameworks, evaluating performance, and using data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders alongside excellent communication skills for resolving issues in alignment with organizational values. The ideal candidate will also have strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues, develop solutions
  • Strong self management and goal and results orientation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adaptability to program shifts with a results-oriented focus on achieving KPIs
  • Experience supporting early-career educators or tutors strongly preferred
