Description: Position Title: Digital Media & Marketing AssociateStart Date: Summer 2026

Columbus School for Girls (CSG) is an independent day school in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1898, serving students in grades pre-k through grade 12. CSG empowers girls to discover their distinct potential as learners and leaders. As a leader in the education of girls and young women, it is a vibrant community of more than 500 students, 120 faculty and staff, and 3,000 active alumnae. CSG’s 8-acre academic campus in the beautiful Bexley neighborhood is a ten-minute drive from downtown Columbus, a city bustling with artistic, civic, and shopping experiences. Having just completed a strategic plan to guide the School’s direction over the next several years, CSG offers an exceptional, student-centered academic experience with strong offerings in the arts, an impressive athletic program, and a health and wellness curriculum that is unique in Central Ohio. This combination of academics and skills ensures that CSG students will be well prepared for life beyond CSG.

Columbus School for Girls (CSG), a leading independent school for girls in Columbus, Ohio, seeks an energetic and detail-oriented Digital Media & Marketing Associate to join the strategic communications & marketing department. This role centers on capturing and producing compelling visual content — photography and video — that brings the CSG story to life across digital and print platforms.

The ideal candidate is a skilled visual storyteller who understands how imagery and video drive engagement and connection. They are comfortable working in dynamic environments, enjoy being present at school events, and can translate everyday moments into impactful content. This role also supports broader marketing efforts through graphic design, content development, and a general understanding of audience targeting and digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture, produce and edit high-quality photography and video content for use across social media, website, email, and print materials.
  • Serve as the primary visual storyteller for campus life, including academics, athletics, arts, and community events.
  • Attend and document school events (including some evenings and weekends) to build a robust, authentic visual library.
  • Edit and produce short-form and long-form video content for marketing campaigns, storytelling, and brand awareness.
  • Design engaging digital and print assets, including social media graphics, advertisements, event materials and templates.
  • Collaborate with the marcomm team to align visual content with strategic goals, campaigns, and brand standards.
  • Support content creation for admissions and marketing initiatives, including campaigns that incorporate geographic and audience targeting strategies.
  • Assist in developing content tailored to specific audiences and regions (e.g., suburb- or zip code-based messaging) to support enrollment marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Meta Business Suite, including building, managing and optimizing geotargeted advertising campaigns to reach key audiences.
  • Organize and maintain CSG’s digital asset library, including photography and video archives.
  • Manage CSG’s social media calendar, content and visual storytelling across platforms, including planning, scheduling and publishing photography, video and graphic assets aligned with marketing priorities and audience targeting.
  • Assist with written content as needed, including captions, web stories, and newsletters, ensuring alignment with visual storytelling.
  • Track performance of visual content and support ongoing optimization of creative assets.
  • Serve as an ambassador of CSG’s brand, mission and commitment to a girl-centered education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Communications & Marketing or Head of School.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, photography, videography or visual content creation, journalism, marketing, media, public relations, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in photography, videography or visual content creation (portfolio required).
  • Strong proficiency in photography and video production, including shooting, editing and post-production.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign) and Canva.
  • Eye for composition, lighting and storytelling through visual media.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts, including audience targeting, geotargeting and platform-specific content strategies.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, especially short-form video.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, delivering high-quality creative work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with students, faculty, families, and alumnae.
  • Collaborative, proactive and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.

Additional Considerations:

  • Evening and weekend event attendance required periodically.
  • Candidates should be eager to take initiative in capturing authentic, engaging, and inclusive visual content.
  • While this role emphasizes visual storytelling, flexibility to support broader marketing and communications efforts is expected.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, talk, hear, stand, use hands, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision.

Interested candidates should apply on the Career page of our website at: https://www.columbusschoolforgirls.org/about/careers
