About This Position
Job purpose
The Marketing and Communication Strategist will partner in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the company's products and services to existing and prospective customers. This role requires a dynamic and creative individual who can shape messaging, identify market opportunities, and implement a strategic blend of traditional and digital marketing tactics to effectively communicate the company's value proposition across various channels. Additionally, the role will focus on fostering strong internal communications, ensuring alignment with company goals, enhancing employee engagement, and promoting a cohesive brand message throughout the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
- Partner with sales and leadership to develop marketing strategies that align with business goals and communication needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic marketing decisions.
- Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social media, online advertising, print, email, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand messaging, marketing objectives, and business goals.
- Lead the creation and execution of multimedia content (photos, videos, presentations) to support marketing initiatives and enhance brand storytelling.
- Write, edit, and distribute external communications, including press releases, thought leadership pieces, and public relations materials.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and community fairs, ensuring brand alignment with strategic marketing objectives.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to measure ROI, optimize strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the company’s social media strategy and reputation, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Optimize SEO/SEM initiatives to improve online visibility and generate leads.
- Proofread and copyedit content for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
- Secure leadership approval of editorial calendars and key content before publishing.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement, alignment, and morale, including overseeing internal newsletters and announcements.
- Manage marketing projects to ensure timely execution, budget adherence, and measurable results, acting as a liaison with vendors to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role.
- Portfolio of relevant work samples (e.g., marketing campaigns, social media content, video projects, press releases, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred but not required).
- Experience in the real estate industry (preferred but not required).
Basic Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including public speaking and presentations).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with the WordPress.org CMS.
- Proficiency with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI content generation tools.
- Experience with video production and editing software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work both in an office setting and on-site at job locations.
Working conditions
The role requires work in both indoor office settings and outdoor environments during site visits. The employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions including rain, heat, cold, or snow when traveling to or inspecting properties. While most work is completed in a climate-controlled office, property visits may occasionally involve entering units or structures with minimal heating, cooling, or ventilation.
Noise levels are typically moderate in the office but may be louder in occupied or active property settings. The employee is not typically exposed to hazardous conditions but should remain aware of surroundings when visiting sites where maintenance or renovation work is taking place. Occasional exposure to dust, cleaning products, or odors may occur during inspections.
Physical demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
