About This Position

Process Engineer

Process Engineer
The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing processes across all areas of production. The Process Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot existing process, develop new product lines, reduce scrap, and drive efficiency in our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, design, implement efficient processes to improve overall operational performance.
  • Work closely with operational departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Implement and lead initiatives to optimize existing processes and increase throughput.
  • Champion new product development from cradle to grave, including quotes, composite design, bill of material structure, tooling, first article, control plans, and product launch.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure processes meet quality standards.
  • Analyze data of processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of projects, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or composite engineering.
  • Composite industry experience with pultrusion experience is a plus.
  • Creative technical aptitude.
  • Keen desire to learn a unique and growing manufacturing process.
  • Hands-on capabilities with an understanding of best manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements and waste reduction efforts.
  • Investigate and resolve production related problems.
  • Work with development teams to investigate new processes.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively foster relationships and communicate with team members at all levels within the facility.
