Overview
Strategic Weapon System Program Office is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the SWS Trainer program. The SWS Trainer program is essential to the success of OHIO/COLUMBIA since the crews require training prior to deployment.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine maintenance and inspection on Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Weapons Training System (SWTS) Strategic Weapon Support System (SWSS) related components.
- Rebuilding and replacing SWSS hydraulic components, to include high pressure testing.
- Rebuilding and replacing SWSS pneumatic components, to include high pressure testing.
- Performing Technical Representative role for Local Navy Activity (LNA) SWTS maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborating on existing training programs and blended learning implementation strategies;
- Providing quality assurance / control on design plans and instructional materials;
- Regularly participating in meetings requiring close interactions with various project stakeholders (clients, Subject Matter Expert (SME), and end users);
- Tracking work and schedules to ensure that work is completed within scheduling parameters;
- Create or update relevant technical information presented in Trident Information Bulletins.
- Instructing SWSS Familiarization course.
- Packing and shipping of equipment required for installation or repair.
- Testing of specialty training systems including fiber optic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct of installation and removal of tactical and training equipment, as required.
This position is located at the D445 Kings Bay, Ga offices.
The person in this role will be expected to travel up to 30% of the year.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of experience involving submarine ship systems
- Proficient knowledge of instructional systems design and implementation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
- Subject matter expert on the OHIO class submarine.
Preferred:
- Hold a NAVY qualification in submarines
- Experience with SSP training
- Experience with SWSS
- Experience with SWS Navigation systems
- Held Additional Qualification Designation (AQD) 2MT or tracking Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8MTS or civil service equivalent
- Active Secret clearance or higher
