What you’ll do as a Lab Technician:

The lab work consists of matching colors, preparing samples, testing materials, supporting customers, and participating in quality investigations. It requires a well-kept lab notebook, an up-to-date record of tasks and samples. A working knowledge of how to safely use of the laboratory instrumentation is required.

What you can expect to do as a Lab Technician:

  • Perform tests and operate equipment in a safe and skillful
  • Must be able to obtain raw data in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain records of lab work and sample status.

What we’re looking for in a Lab Technician:

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry (preferred)
  • Maintain a clear and accurate lab notebook.
  • Store records in designated drives and software.
  • Proficiency in navigating the knowledge management system.
  • Proficiency in administrative tools such as project management software and company databases.
  • Basic formula creation and proficient formula entry in Optiva.
  • Core Skills: Matching gel coat colors using the X-Rite software. Laminate preparation for testing, including patching, weathering, water resistance, etc.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds weight.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Word & Excel.
  • Cannot be color blind.
  • Compliance with the safety rules & PPE requirements
