Overview
The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk responsible for preparing loads for shipments, loading and unloading carriers, validating counts on incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, and work closely with the purchasing department to coordinating warehouse activities while following the Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Provides prompt and courteous customer service to employees and suppliers.
· Responsible for daily opening duties of the warehouse area such as opening and closing facility, while properly securing the building at the end of the shift.
· Responsible for shipment handling like loading and unloading of shipment; following the progress of orders, pulling, and preparing loads for shipment with a day in advance. Staged equipment is prepared for shipping.
· Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and trailers and preps them for delivery of equipment/parts.
· Operates forklift truck, pallet jack and other equipment in a safe manner. Following all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
· Maintains equipment inventory levels of current and incoming equipment/parts. Expected to notify the Manager of new arrivals.
· Collaborates and maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner. Some anticipated task are to sweep warehouse floor and empty rolling trash dumpster, among others.
· Effectively communicate top level escalations to Manager.
· Contributes to best practices and process improvement.
· Performs other related, incidental, and similar duties including interdepartmental projects as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· For Warehouse Clerk level 1:
o 6 months to 1 year of work experience working at a parts department preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
· For Warehouse Clerk 2:
o 2+ years of work experience working at a parts department preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
· Experience in telephone and email/ticketing system-based customer support preferred.
· Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
· Experience operating equipment including forklift truck and pallet jack required. A valid state motor vehicle operator's permit for operation of forklift truck might be required.

Standard and Physical Requirements:
· Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
· Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently. For greater weight items assistive devices will be provided.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
