PROCEPT BioRobotics is entering its next phase of global scale, expanding across geographies, care settings, and applications. As we scale, so does the need for a disciplined, enterprise-wide approach to strategy, prioritization, and investment allocation.
We are seeking a Senior Director, Global Strategy, to partner closely with the executive leadership team to define, operationalize, and evolve the company’s global strategic agenda. This role will help ensure that PROCEPT’s ambition is translated into clear choices, clear priorities, and measurable outcomes across the organization.
The Senior Director, Global Strategy will serve as a partner to the CSMO and executive team on the development of PROCEPT’s strategic planning processes and enterprise-level decision-making.
This individual will work across Product, Commercial, Clinical, and international teams to integrate perspectives into a cohesive strategy, while helping ensure that priorities are well-defined, resourced, and executed against. This cohesive strategy will be the focused work of Procept to drive Aquablation to standard of care while expanding patient awareness, reception, and impact of this differentiated therapy.
The role is best suited for a leader who combines strategic rigor with operational pragmatism, and who can influence across functions in a very fast-paced high-growth environment.
Strategic Planning & Operating Cadence
- Partner with the CSMO to design and continuously refine PROCEPT’s annual and long-range strategic planning processes
- Establish a consistent operating cadence (e.g., planning cycles, business reviews, executive checkpoints) that connects strategy to execution
- Develop practical frameworks to support:
- Market and opportunity prioritization
- Investment and resource allocation decisions
- Tracking of strategic initiatives and outcomes
- Partner with the CMSO, CFO, and CPO to weave strategic planning with enterprise talent planning processes
Enterprise Strategy Development
- Synthesize inputs from across Product, Commercial, Clinical, and International teams into a clear, aligned global strategy
- Support executive discussions on key strategic questions, including market expansion, portfolio evolution, and capability building
- Help translate strategic direction into a focused set of enterprise priorities with defined success metrics
- Identify risks or gaps in execution and help facilitate timely resolution
Global Expansion Strategy
- Partner with Commercial and International leaders to shape global market expansion strategy, including prioritization and sequencing of market entry
- Provide structured perspectives on market dynamics, access considerations, and investment trade-offs to inform decision-making
Strategic Initiatives
- Lead or support a select set of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, particularly those that benefit from centralized coordination
- Ensure initiatives are well-scoped, appropriately resourced, and aligned with broader enterprise objectives
External Perspective & Corporate Development
- Contribute to evaluation of partnerships, licensing, and M&A opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Bring an external lens on market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
Executive & Board Engagement
- Support development of executive and Board-level strategy materials
Experience:
- 10–15+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a combination of strategy and operating roles
- Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences
- Track record of supporting enterprise-level strategy and planning in a scaling organization
