RECEIVING CREW MEMBER - Overnight at Brothers Produce Of Dallas Inc – San Antonio, Texas

About the Role:

As a Receiving Crew Member in the wholesale trade industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate intake of goods into our distribution center. Your primary focus will be on receiving shipments, verifying the accuracy of incoming products against purchase orders, and organizing inventory for seamless storage and retrieval. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and support overall supply chain operations. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff and management to address discrepancies and maintain a safe, clean working environment. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the timely availability of products for our customers and the smooth functioning of our wholesale operations.

Shift Schedule: Over night - 8:00PM - 6:00AM

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills to verify quantities and perform inventory counts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operate material handling equipment safely.

• Must be able to drive Forklift/ Walkie Rider
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving of produce
• Must be flexible to work different shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check
• Food Inspection Experience required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must be able to work in cold environment (35 degrees)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role within wholesale trade or related industries.
• Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
• Good communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required.

Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
• Inspect received goods for damage, defects, and accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Sort, label, and organize products in designated storage areas to facilitate easy access and inventory management.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors promptly for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the receiving area to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize receiving processes and workflow.
