This role sits at the core of building and scaling modern cloud infrastructure for high-volume, distributed systems that power real-time data and observability platforms. You will help design and evolve cloud-native services that ensure reliability, scalability, and performance at enterprise scale. Working in a remote-first engineering environment, you’ll collaborate closely with product and platform teams to shape infrastructure from design through production. The role blends hands-on software engineering with deep infrastructure ownership, focusing on automation, resiliency, and operational excellence. You will contribute to solving complex reliability challenges while helping define engineering standards and best practices. This is a highly impactful position where your work directly influences system stability and customer trust across global deployments.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and improving cloud infrastructure systems that support large-scale distributed platforms. You will:

• Develop and enhance infrastructure services using a software-driven, cloud-first approach focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and platform engineering teams to deliver features aligned with service performance and roadmap goals.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
• Identify, reduce, and eliminate operational toil through automation, tooling, and system improvements.
• Contribute to incident response processes, ensuring resilient systems and sustainable post-incident learnings.
• Help define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and reliability patterns across the organization.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems in a high-availability environment.

You bring strong experience in building scalable infrastructure and distributed systems in cloud environments, along with a mindset focused on reliability and automation. You have:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in infrastructure, platform, or backend-focused roles.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript and experience working in Linux-based environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying infrastructure in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, SaaS platforms, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience with system scaling, performance optimization, and Linux-based deployments.
• Familiarity with incident response practices and working in blameless engineering cultures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
• Bonus: knowledge of cloud security, observability practices, SLOs/SLIs, and system monitoring.

• Competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $210,000 depending on experience and location
