Adjunct Professor of Sport Management in Spartanburg, South Carolina at Spartanburg Methodist College

Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in Sport Management for our on-ground program. The successful candidate will teach in-person courses. The start date for the Fall 2026 Semester is August 11th, but the Department seeks candidates for future semesters as well. Contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a PhD, MA, or MS in Sport Management or a related Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
• Have demonstrable, successful experience as a teacher (college level preferred).
