Job Overview:
Weston Herzog LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing legal team in Glendale, CA. This role leans heavily toward substantive litigation support and is ideal for a paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can independently manage complex case responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling subpoenas, reviewing and summarizing medical records, managing discovery, drafting motions, and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. Exceptional written communication skills are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, file, and serve legal documents, including pleadings, motions, deposition notices, subpoenas, and discovery responses
- Draft motions, correspondence, and other litigation-related legal documents
- Review, analyze, and summarize medical records and billing records
- Prepare detailed medical and billing chronologies
- Review and summarize discovery responses, opposing counsel discovery, and case materials
- Identify medical providers and prepare subpoena requests for records
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case strategy support
- Maintain and organize case files, legal documents, and client correspondence
- Track court deadlines, filing requirements, and discovery timelines
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, court appearances, and expert witness communications
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors
- Support attorneys in all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation or insurance defense
- Strong experience subpoenaing records and handling medical record review and summarization
- Experience reviewing and summarizing discovery and opposing counsel discovery responses
- Experience drafting motions and litigation-related legal documents
- Excellent written communication and legal writing skills
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology
- Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Clio, iManage, and/or Forms Workflow is a plus
