About the role

We have an immediate opening for an On-Call Associate Creative Director / Copywriter to join our creative studio at Phaedon. As an On-Call Associate Creative Director / Copywriter, you will work closely with our team to lead the development of engaging and impactful omnichannel creative. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and executing creative ideas across various platforms to effectively communicate our clients’ brand messages and achieve key marketing and communications objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative writing in print, digital, video, collateral and social content.

This is a variable-hour, on-call position ideal for an experienced professional

seeking flexible, project-based work.

Location:

We are open to remote candidates for this position, within reasonable proximity to our office in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighborhood as they may occasionally be asked to attend in-person events.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement creative that achieves client objectives
  • Conceptualize and execute relevant, authentic and compelling ideas and campaigns across multiple channels, including print, digital, video, collateral and social content
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, strategy, research, analytics and data to understand core objectives and develop creative solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets, ensuring they are on-brand, on-strategy, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as clients, freelancers, and vendors, to execute campaigns and projects on time and within budget.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually innovate and improve creative output.
  • Present creative concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the rationale behind the work and persuasively advocating for its effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of creativity and attention to detail

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Design, or a related field AND 5 years of experience in a creative role, with a focus on advertising, marketing, or communications OR 8 years of experience without a degree.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative ideas and 360 campaigns across various mediums and platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate creative concepts and ideas.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of branding, storytelling, and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals.
  • Passion for creativity and pushing the boundaries of traditional marketing and communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Healthcare, MedTech or related highly regulated industries
  • B2B and Business-to-Consumer experience.
  • Prior agency experience

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is estimated to be: $65/hr. - $90/hr.

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
