Job Description

Staff Product Manager (Fintech)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Product Manager (Fintech) in United States.

This role sits at the core of a modern fintech platform redefining how employee benefits are delivered through financial infrastructure. You will own the strategy behind the systems that power payments, card issuance, banking integrations, and financial operations at scale. Acting as a senior individual contributor, you will shape critical “build vs. partner” decisions that define the product’s long-term architecture. You will work closely with engineering, product, and external fintech partners to ensure a reliable, scalable, and innovative ecosystem. The role requires deep fintech expertise combined with strong product judgment and partnership management skills. You will also influence roadmap direction and help unlock new capabilities that directly impact customer experience and business growth. This is a high-impact position at the intersection of product strategy, financial systems, and ecosystem partnerships.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the overall fintech stack strategy, defining where to build internally versus partner with external providers across short- and long-term horizons.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with key fintech partners, ensuring strong collaboration, performance, and alignment with product goals.
  • Oversee the stability, scalability, and full utilization of existing financial infrastructure and integrations.
  • Identify capability gaps in the current stack and drive solutions through partners or internal product and engineering teams.
  • Influence and align product roadmap decisions based on partner capabilities and evolving fintech ecosystem opportunities.
  • Lead evaluation, selection, and onboarding of new fintech partners to expand platform capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fintech partners, including escalations, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Represent the organization in high-level partner discussions and relevant industry engagements.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with strong exposure to fintech products such as payments, card issuance, banking, or financial infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of the financial ecosystem, including payment rails, card networks, processors, and banking infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience working with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) providers such as Stripe, Marqeta, Unit, Lithic, Treasury Prime, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience managing both strategic partnerships and technical product implementations.
  • Strong product sense with the ability to evaluate complex trade-offs and drive sound architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging external partners, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in complex, technical environments.
  • Experience with compliance considerations, sponsor banks, or financial infrastructure migrations is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $195,000 to $240,000, plus equity.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance (up to 95% coverage).
  • Flexible PTO policy supporting work-life balance.
  • Monthly stipends for wellness, home office setup, phone, internet, and co-working/commuting needs.
  • Annual learning and development budget to support professional growth.
  • Regular team onsite gatherings throughout the year.
  • Equity participation in a high-growth fintech company.
  • Inclusive and flexible remote-friendly work environment.
