Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Maintains hotel facilities and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Meets maintenance operational standards; responsible for implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
• Provide annual budget information; monitor expenditures; identify variances; implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment by conferring with all departments; identifying problems and requirements.
• Improve function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Supervise, train, coach and discipline team members. Schedule team according to room forecasts.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
• Maintenance Supervisor should be able to exhibit mastery of a minimum of three of the trade skills like electronic systems and controls, mechanical, kitchen equipment, refrigeration and general building management.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills a must.
