Job Description
We’re looking for responsible and organized Patient Access Representatives who are committed to supporting patients during one of their most important first steps—admission and registration. In this role, you’ll handle a variety of clerical duties related to outpatient testing, emergency, and hospital admissions, including verifying insurance and securing pre-authorizations.
You’ll contribute to the smooth functioning of the admissions process while ensuring patients receive timely and respectful service.
Key Responsibilities

Perform clerical tasks for outpatient, ER, and hospital admissions

Register patients and assist with pre-admission processes

Obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed
-
Notify insurance providers of patient admissions

Support department managers with assigned tasks

Provide backup for hospital telephone operator and emergency call system
Collaborative Teamwork
This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
-
High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English

Knowledge of clerical skills and Windows-based PC software
-
Must maintain 95%+ accuracy on monthly audits after 3 months

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and courteous behavior

Works cooperatively with team members and across departments

Willing to learn and operate hospital telephone system, including emergency code calls
