Job Title: Slip Sheet - Forklift Operator

Department: Operations

Reports To: General Manager

Position Type: Full Time

Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift - 6:00am to 6:00pm, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Wage: $21.00 + $1.00 shift diff per hour when applicable

Allen Distribution is looking for a dependable and experienced Slip Sheet Forklift Operator who is committed to operational excellence, safety standards, and contributing to a high-performing warehouse team.

Position OverviewThe Slip Sheet Forklift Operator is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving product using a forklift equipped with a push-pull (slip sheet) attachment. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift with slip sheet (push-pull) attachment safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload trailers using slip sheet method
  • Stage and move product within the warehouse
  • Perform daily equipment inspections
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inventory tracking
  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating a slip sheet (push-pull) forklift attachment
  • Minimum 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (6AM–6PM)
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.

Follows all rules, guideline, and practices. Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.


Position Competency

  1. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  2. Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
  3. Must be able to lift 50lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  4. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  5. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
Position Expectations

Productivity:

  • Meet established productivity standards specific to the account.
  • Understand the stocking strategy (location of product) of the operations building you are assigned.
  • Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.

Safety:

  • Follow established Dock Safety policy.
  • Complete lift inspection (electronic/paper) prior to operation.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
  • Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.

Quality:

  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Ensure that product is scanned properly and matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
  • Complete all Inbound and Outbound paper work accurately and completely.
  • Report all product damage to your supervisor/manager.
  • Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancy to supervisor/manager.

Initiative:

  • Knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within given operation.
