Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Sales Administrator for their Power Systems Division (PSD) in Richmond, Virginia. The PSD Sales Administrator is responsible for managing/invoicing “single-event” miscellaneous sales, managing CAT discounts; fielding requests for inventoried generator sets, maintaining inventories, and providing departmental and interdepartmental support as needed. Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years' sales support experience in a sales industry environment.
Requirements for the PSD Sales Administrator position include:
- Thorough understanding of power systems products and services, benefits, features, and applications.
- Must possess ability to analyze and evaluate data to develop quotes.
- Must be proficient with MS-Office applications.
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent customer relations skills.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams.
- Must have an attention to detail.

Physical requirements must be met for the PSD Sales Administrator job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.
