Position Summary
The Licensed Helicopter Maintenance Technician is accountable for modifications, maintenance, repair, or installation of aircraft systems as assigned by the Licensed Helicopter Maintenance Engineer. The role ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

The hangar environment may be extremely hot or cold during certain seasons of the year.

Main Responsibilities
Quality, Safety and Environment
- Ensure maintenance performed on aircraft systems is conducted in compliance with company policies, procedures, and Civil Aviation regulations.
- Certify work and release aircraft systems in accordance with relevant license categories and company approval certificates.
- Actively participate and comply with Jet Aviation's WH&S and Environment programs and Aviation Safety Management System.
People Leadership
- Provide operational management and clear direction to Helicopter Maintenance Technicians for allocated maintenance tasks.
- Mentor and support junior technicians as required.
Commercial Management
- Manage and control assigned aircraft maintenance activities on a daily basis.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of assigned aircraft systems modification, maintenance, repair, or installation.
- Ensure parts are ordered within appropriate timeframes to meet project or job deadlines while maintaining cost control.
- Review job packs for assigned projects or jobs to ensure completeness and alignment with customer requirements.
- Utilize company ERP systems to ensure time and attendance are correlated with projects.
- Use computerized maintenance tracking software for project management.
Sales and Customer Management
- Provide regular feedback to the Licensed Helicopter Maintenance Engineer on the progress of planned system modification, maintenance, service, or installations.
- Provide input into responses to customer queries and complaints as required.
Regulatory and Compliance
- Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft systems is conducted in compliance with relevant Civil Aviation regulations, Military or OEM requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Key Challenges
- Ensure smooth workflow on assigned jobs with minimal disruptions by effective use of allocated manpower and resources.
- Complete aircraft work packs and logbook entries in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Ensure assigned modification, maintenance, repair, or installation is performed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant Civil Aviation regulations.
- Raise ASRs (Over & Above defects) at the time of identification of additional work and ensure accuracy.
- Track progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
- Implement remedial actions to correct project or job overruns.
- Provide input into parts ordering for assigned projects to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times.
- Regularly audit project documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
- Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Aircraft & Powerplant License.
- 5 years' experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing system maintenance and modifications on Bell 412.
- Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance.
- People management skills in an operational environment.
- Experience in a customer-focused work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and computerized maintenance tracking and work order software.
