Outgoing Quality Control Technician
This is a full-time on-site role for an Outgoing (finished products) Quality Control Technician located in Bunker Hill, IN. The shift will be rotating, spending two weeks on 1st shift and two weeks on 2nd shift. The quality technician will work closely with the production team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by reviewing products in process, troubleshooting quality concerns, and documenting deviations.
As a quality technician, you will follow the established quality standards using the provided equipment and measuring machines to verify product accuracy, as we prepare for the initial product launch. Span of responsibilities includes producing an exceptional quality product in an industrial environment with a customer service mindset.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Inspection of the finished products for quality defects, while we prepare for the initial product launch
• Reduce re-work through documentation of repetitive issues, root cause analysis
• Continually monitors product to detect and resolve issues using proper equipment
• Documenting quality issues through use of internal documents
• Inspecting and testing materials, parts, and products to determine quality and durability
• Ensuring production processes comply with standards
• Configuring and maintaining inspection equipment
• Reporting on quality issues and managing records of inspections and compliance data.
• Collaborating with the operations team to develop corrective actions for identified issues
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Operates forklift as needed
• Follow all safety and regulatory compliance procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to communicate and interact positively with team members from various
• cultural backgrounds
• Attention to detail required
• 1-3 years of previous experience in quality control
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
• Participate in continuous improvement according to the “5S” principles and KAIZEN culture, around and inside the facility
• Effective critical thinking while operating complex automated equipment
• The ability to prioritize tasks, drive process improvements, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a Plus
