About This Position

Job Overview:

Manages the technical and operational aspects of the department for efficient, cost-effective and timely performance of diagnostic test results. Assume responsibilities for procedural and system controls, problem-solving, teaching, coaching, and supervising. Maintains all necessary QC/QA and documents required by accreditation agencies. Maintains continuing education credits. Acts as the Manager in the absence of the Manager.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School graduate
  • Completion of an approved Radiology Technology program that meets the requirements set by the ARRT and the NJ State DEP
  • Five years’ experience as a staff technologist
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience as a staff technologist including at least one year of CT experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Must be licensed by the NJ State DEP and the ARRT
  • CT registry eligible within 6 months of employment

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift working, 3 days a week
  • Every other weekend required

Essential Functions:

  • Day Logs for Pacs, daily
  • Monthly staff meetings
  • Assist Radiologists and Surgeons as needed
  • Follows up with Manager and Director in a timely manner
  • Run’s Open orders and Charges out incomplete exams daily
  • Directs activities towards full compliance and accreditation with NJ Sate DEP and TJC
  • Reviews charts, scripts and referrals and orders with all correct pertinent information
  • Consistently plans and administers all technical and personnel aspects to maximize equipment and staff productivity
  • Other duties as assigned
