Lab Technician at Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. – Dallas, Texas

Lab Technician is specifically defined as the activities and job requirements of an individual responsible for accurate sampling, analysis and recording of quality assurance testing to insure conformance of products to PMO and Prairie Farms Standards.

Physical Requirements

1. Must have a full range of motion and be able to bend, squat, climb and lift.
2. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
3. Must be able to stand or walk for 90% of the workday.
4. Must be able to tolerate allergen exposure to milk, cocoa, and egg proteins.

Skill Requirements

1. Must speak, read and write English to have effective oral and written communication skills to maintain working relationship with other lab and plant team members.
2. Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience.
3. Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate blended products, understand weights and measures.
4. Must have a mechanical aptitude to perform the following tasks:
   1. Use an electric scale
   2. Make adjustments on machine settings
   3. Use small tools
   4. Operate a microscope.

1. Must demonstrate hand-eye coordination and dexterity to handle precision instruments in a laboratory setting
2. Must demonstrate ability to interpret data and effectively communicate information.
