About This Position

Project Accountant

Who:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members are essential.

What:
The Project Accountant will review and process consultant and vendor invoices, generate field reports, handle billing discrepancies, and ensure accurate project setup and budgeting. They will support the Project Manager and other team members by processing contracts, managing accounts receivable, and closing out projects. Familiarity with Deltek Vision software is a plus.

When:
This position is available immediately. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the right candidate is found.

Salary:
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Position Overview:
The Project Accountant will work under the direction of the Accounting Manager and provide crucial support in the areas of invoice processing, revenue generation, and financial project management. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process consultant/vendor invoices.
  • Resolve outstanding payment issues.
  • Ensure accurate project setups and budgets for revenue generation.
  • Support the Project Manager and team with financial reporting and special tasks.
  • Maintain and close out project accounts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
  • Manage accounts receivable and prevent aging.
  • Prepare deposits and process cash receipts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision software (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
