If so, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Facility Operations Coordinator - Maintenance & Requests (CS26-116) to support the operations of six SIUE Head Start/Early Head Start managed centers across St. Clair County, Illinois.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver's License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days is grounds for immediate separation.

You will play a vital role in supporting high-quality early childhood environments across St. Clair County, Illinois to ensure safe, well-maintained learning spaces where young children can grow and learn.
What You Will Do
- Track and coordinate maintenance and operational requests across six program centers
- Coordinate purchases related to facility operations, i.e. supplies, maintenance, etc.
- Monitor and track transportation use, supply costs, and equipment inventory
- Coordinate facility leases and vendor-contracted services
- Ensure centers meet Head Start and health & safety regulations
- Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate solutions
- Assist with the review and creation of policies and procedures related to facility safety and operations
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance for the program's fleet
This role works closely with program leadership to ensure the centers' learning environments remain safe, compliant, and ready for children and families every day.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months)from the categories below:
- college course work in facility management, operations management, or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals one (1) year (12 months)
- training from a vocational, technical, or an armed forces program which includes building operations such as coordination of building maintenance, construction management, hospitality, or closely related experience.
- work experience which includes building operations such as coordination of building maintenance and work orders, construction management, hospitality, or closely related experience.
- college course work in facility management, operations management, or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- One (1) year (12 months) of supervisory or administrative experience which includes building operations such as coordination of building maintenance and work orders, construction management, hospitality, or closely related experience
