Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman HVAC Mechanic to support the operation and maintenance of a large commercial facility in Northern VA, (Fairfax).

Schedule

• Shift: First Shift

• Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Days: Tuesday – Saturday

Position Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment and associated mechanical systems to support safe, reliable building operations. Respond to service calls and CMMS work orders, coordinate with building managers and other trades, and help minimize equipment downtime, especially for critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of:
• Rooftop Units (RTUs)
• Split systems and mini splits
• Packaged units
• Air handlers
• CRAC units
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner and document work performed through the CMMS system.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cooling towers and associated pumps.
• Coordinate repairs and planned maintenance with building managers and multiple shop trades to reduce downtime and support critical operations.
• Support preventive maintenance (PM) completion and documentation per site standards.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of RTUs, packaged units, air handlers, and split/mini-split systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical control issues at an equipment level.
• Experience responding to work orders and documenting work in a CMMS.
• Experience in healthcare, data center, or another critical environment.

Required Qualifications

• HVAC Journeyman License
• EPA 608 (Universal CFC)
