The Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse in our fast-paced surgical environment, you will provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining strict safety and infection control standards.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to function effectively under pressure while maintaining clear communication and patient-centered focus.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Excellence & Patient Safety
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify potential surgical risks or complications
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after surgery
- Implement infection control protocols to minimize postoperative infection risks
- Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records
- Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist surgeons and medical personnel by providing instruments and supplies during operations
- Operate C-Arm and fluoroscope under guidance/in conjunction with the Surgeon
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Work collaboratively within the surgical team while demonstrating leadership when necessary
- Adapt to schedule adjustments to meet the needs of the Center
- Remain calm and effective in high-pressure surgical environments
- Prioritize patient safety and quality outcomes in every interaction
- Communicate clearly and confidently with both patients and clinical staff
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Adapt quickly to evolving patient needs and procedural demands
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Knowledge of changing trends in nursing practice and State Nurse Practice Act
- Knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to scope of practice
- Ability to function effectively in stressful situations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under supervision, as well as oversee/lead others
