This is a strategic leadership opportunity at the intersection of security, software architecture, and product innovation. As Director of Product Security Architecture, you will shape how security is embedded into large-scale platforms, ensuring resilience while enabling rapid development. You will lead a team of security architects and collaborate closely with product and engineering leaders to integrate security seamlessly into the development lifecycle. The role focuses on translating complex risks into actionable architectural strategies and scalable solutions. Operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will balance business objectives with long-term security outcomes. • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Security Architects aligned to key product domains
• Define and evolve the product security architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with engineering and product roadmaps
• Translate security risks and requirements into clear architectural guidance, standards, and scalable “paved road” solutions
• Oversee the product security risk register, prioritizing risks and driving multi-quarter mitigation strategies
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to ensure informed decision-making around security trade-offs
• Drive adoption of secure-by-design principles and establish default security configurations across platforms
• Develop and implement AI-driven and scalable approaches to enhance security coverage and reduce operational friction
• Collaborate with cross-functional security teams (AppSec, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, Operations) to ensure end-to-end risk management
• Define and track key security metrics and communicate insights to executive stakeholders

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or application security within high-growth or complex environments
• Strong expertise in secure software design, application security principles, and modern architecture patterns
• Deep understanding of product security risks in large-scale platforms, including areas such as CI/CD security, IAM, SaaS architectures, or software supply chain security
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape long-term product and engineering strategies
• Experience building scalable security frameworks, standards, and developer-friendly solutions
• Strong background in risk management, including prioritization and mitigation of systemic security issues
• Ability to operate across strategic and technical levels, from executive discussions to hands-on architectural guidance
• Experience working in remote, distributed, and highly collaborative environments
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar is a plus
• Comfort leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and scale security practices
