TRIUMPH Systems, Electronics & Controls provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufacturers around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs.

Based in Forest, OH, TRIUMPH Thermal Systems employs approximately 140 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of heat exchangers for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern, Design Engineering to join our Forest, OH team. This position will provide support to the Design Engineers and Integrated Product Development team on one or more programs in process of developing a new product (in this case a thermal management system with integrated mechanical and electronic components). Tasks will vary based on the development stage of the programs.

Responsibilities

  • Attending team and customer meetings to assist in managing & tracking action items.
  • Support of parts orders and tracking.
  • Assisting in the update and review of engineering specifications, reports, and manuals.
  • Assisting with test tool design.
  • Coordinating and assisting technical tasks being executed by the development team.
  • Attending design review meetings and working sessions to provide exposure to the engineering designs.
  • Helping create and update presentations.
  • Supporting development test activities in the engineering lab environment. This may include setup/build of test systems, and/or executing product tests.
  • Interface with employees from other functional areas i.e. manufacturing engineering, quality assurance and supply chain.
  • Perform other related responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates must be actively working towards Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, leadership abilities, effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills necessary to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software, preferred platform is SolidWorks or SpaceClaim.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
