Job Description:

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking inter-site transfers, container movements, and import processes to ensure efficient and timely logistics operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various carriers, warehouses, and production facilities across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

· Inter-site transfers planification based on production plan.

· Daily tracking of inter-site transfers.

· Daily tracking of containers and import processes.

· Daily communication with carriers, NVOs, and production facilities with different time zones.

· Assistance in rate negotiation and carrier / NVO assignment.

· Container status update in our internal ERP system.

· Logistics invoices approval.

· Additional tasks necessary to support the Inventory Division.

· Positive attitude!

· High School Diploma or GED (AA or BA degree in Logistics or Transportation preferred).

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain, especially in Logistics. Experience with Reefer is a plus.

· Experience with Imports-Exports.

· Knowledge of USDA regulations and government agency procedures.

· Excellent analytical and communication skills.

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to solve problems and rapidly shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Multi-tasker and independent thinker.

· Fluent English and Spanish, written and oral.
