About This Position
Position Summary
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for the accurate fulfillment and shipment of customer spare parts orders. This role serves as the final quality and verification checkpoint before parts are shipped and directly supports customer uptime, service responsiveness, and installed-base revenue.
The Parts Coordinator physically handles and verifies all spare parts shipments, ensuring orders are complete, correct, and shipped on time in accordance with customer purchase orders and internal quality requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining shipment accuracy, quality control, and customer satisfaction across Plasma-Therm’s global installed base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pull spare parts from inventory based on approved orders and bills of material
- Inspect parts for accuracy, condition, and completeness prior to shipment
- Verify pack slips against customer purchase orders to ensure correctness before release
- Package, label, box, and prepare parts for domestic and international shipment
- Ensure shipments meet internal quality, identification, and traceability requirements
- Coordinate with Shipping Coordinators to ensure timely outbound shipments
- Support urgent and time-sensitive parts fulfillment for service, maintenance, and repair activities
- Maintain accurate documentation related to shipped materials
- Adhere to established safety, quality, and operational procedures
Business Impact
- Directly impacts shipment accuracy, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Serves as a quality control step to prevent incorrect or incomplete shipments
- Enables effective service response during customer tool downtime events
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in parts coordination, shipping, warehouse operations, or order fulfillment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow documented procedures and quality requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and package parts in a warehouse environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting spare parts operations in a manufacturing or technical environment
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
- Experience handling domestic and international shipments
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed primarily in a warehouse and inspection environment
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and package materials as required
- May require lifting of parts within established safety guidelines
