Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver to operate 18-wheelers for the transportation of goods between locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service while representing the company on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 18-wheelers (tractor-trailers) to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while following assigned routes and schedules
- Maintain accurate logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations (ELD use)
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or updates
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies
- Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with loading/unloading when required
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license (required)
- Clean Driver record
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate manual and/or automatic transmission trucks
- Strong time management and reliability
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (if required)
- Capability to enter/exit the truck cab and trailer safely
- Tolerance for varying weather conditions
Work Environment
- Local, regional, or over-the-road (OTR) routes depending on business needs
- May require long hours, weekends, or overnight travel
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors
