Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and licensed Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our in-house dental laboratory. This role is responsible for ensuring quality control, workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective communication between clinical and laboratory teams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to excellence in patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all laboratory operations, including case workflow, scheduling, and prioritization
• Ensure all lab work meets quality standards and prescribed timelines
• Collaborate with dentists and clinical team members to ensure accuracy of prescriptions and case outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Manage lab inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance
• Train, mentor, and support lab team members
• Implement and monitor systems to improve efficiency and reduce remakes
• Track and report on lab performance metrics (turnaround times, case accuracy, etc.)
• Liaise with external labs and vendors as required

Qualifications

• Valid laboratory license/certification as required by provincial regulatory bodies
• Minimum 1–2 years of dental laboratory experience, with leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental materials, digital workflows, and lab technologies
• Proven ability to manage workflows and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Skills

• Experience with digital scanning and CAD/CAM systems
• Familiarity with practice management and lab tracking software
• Leadership and team development experience, preferred
