Job Description
The Center for Community and Civic Engagement at Elizabethtown College is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support our Bonner Leader Program.
This position is part-time, 20 hours a week, with flexible scheduling and includes 9 free graduate credits per semester in our School of Graduation and Professional Studies. This position is scheduled to start on July 20, 2026. The hourly rate for this position is $12.85/hr.

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) and a core group of student leaders to launch programs therein. This includes supporting the building of a Bonner Leaders Program, a nationally recognized four-year undergraduate civic leadership development program providing community engagement, academic support, professional development opportunities, and a social network for students. It also includes services provided by the CCCE to students, faculty, staff, and the community. This position will report to the Program Manager of the Center for Community and Civic Engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with the Program Manager of the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) and Senior Director of Engagement, Mission and Impact (EMI) to facilitate implementation of specific projects and programs.
- Help enhance and deliver the Elizabethtown College Bonner Program curriculum.
- Participate in admissions efforts for incoming students
- Plan and hold regular meetings with Bonner Leader Program Students and other program leaders.
- Involve Bonner Leader Program students in various service opportunities and activities and complete the essential tracking of student engagements.
- Contribute to CCCE and Bonner Leader Program activities designed to develop in students the knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to contribute meaningful ways to the community and world.
- Act as a liaison between Bonner Leader students and the community partners.
- Supervise the student-run Bonner Leadership Team.
- Collect, review, and analyze students’ reflections and feedback on student programs within the institute.
- Assist students in working on community-engaged capstone projects.
- Track and maintain BWEBERS data records.
- Handle all Bonner-related payroll using Paylocity on a weekly basis, ensuring all information is correct and updated in the system.
- Assist with the delivery of presentations designed to increase student awareness of and participation in community engagement, civic engagement, and service learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve on various college committees as necessary
- Conduct all responsibilities safely according to regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position involves direct supervision of students. This would entail mentoring them, providing professional development and service opportunities for them, and assisting them in the creation of their community-engaged projects. This position is required to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Elizabethtown College’s policies and applicable laws.
