Job Description

Lead Budtender (Full-Time) – Embr Dispensary

Pay: $19/hour + benefits
Schedule: Full-time (open availability required: days, nights, weekends, holidays)

About the Role

Embr Dispensary is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Budtender to support daily retail operations and lead a high-performing team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on customer experience, team development, compliance, and inventory control in a fast-paced cannabis retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily dispensary operations including opening/closing procedures
  • Supervise, coach, and support budtenders and retail leads
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, drawer balancing, and sales reporting
  • Maintain compliant inventory processes (receiving, stocking, audits)
  • Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards
  • Train staff on products, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching
  • Maintain compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations
  • Collaborate with leadership, compliance, and operations teams
  • Support store organization, workflow efficiency, and team culture
Qualifications
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • 1+ year cannabis industry experience required
  • Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and regulations
  • Experience with POS systems (Blaze preferred) and METRC is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Excel skills a plus)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
