This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead high-impact communications projects with a focus on research, strategy, and execution. You will play a central role in shaping messaging, developing creative content, and ensuring excellence across client-facing and internal communications. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will support project planning, media outreach, and digital initiatives while mentoring junior team members. This position provides exposure to government-focused work, public health communications, and integrated marketing campaigns, offering a challenging yet rewarding environment for a proactive and organized communications professional. You will contribute meaningfully to client strategies, team growth, and organizational impact while managing multiple projects with visibility across teams and stakeholders.
Accountabilities
  • Contribute substantively to planning, research, writing, and strategy development for projects and communications initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality correspondence, communication materials, reports, and content for internal and external audiences.
  • Communicate directly with clients and external partners to implement strategies, campaigns, and tactics.
  • Develop, review, and track project plans, timelines, and quality reviews, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
  • Manage social, paid, and traditional media outreach, including strategy, content development, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and digital strategists to create digital assets such as videos, websites, infographics, and other materials.
  • Provide client service support, including monitoring timelines, proofreading, and maintaining consistent client touchpoints.
  • Mentor junior team members and ensure the quality of their work.
  • Participate in new business processes, research, and proposal preparation to support organic growth.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in communications, public health, or related field. Advanced degrees may substitute for additional experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in communications roles, preferably with a health focus; government contracting or agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, multidisciplinary project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Action-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and able to anticipate challenges and solve problems efficiently.
  • Media relations experience is a plus; familiarity with digital communications, social media, and integrated campaigns is beneficial.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and maintain a dedicated, ergonomic remote workspace with reliable internet and a mobile device.
