Custodian at Eternal Word Television Network Inc – Birmingham, Alabama

How will you impact the big picture:

The EWTN Custodian helps care for our campus by ensuring our buildings remain clean, welcoming, and well maintained for all who enter. This role supports our mission by being a good steward of our resources and reflecting our commitment to service and hospitality.

What will you do:

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and break rooms. This role includes emptying wastebaskets, dusting furniture and equipment, washing windows, door panels, and sills, and ensuring restrooms and break rooms are fully stocked with supplies. You will clean all break room areas, perform periodic interior and exterior cleaning of fleet vans, maintain regular and punctual attendance for assigned shifts, and complete additional duties as assigned.

About you:

You have at least one year of custodial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience and are able to follow specific instructions and established procedures. You can safely and effectively operate cleaning equipment, including buffers, and possess a valid Alabama driver’s license. You are capable of lifting 25 pounds or more as needed and hold a high school diploma or GED. Available to work scheduled hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the option to start earlier if needed.
