About the role
The Senior Director, Application Development, Data & Analytics, is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s enterprise technology and data strategy. This role oversees enterprise architecture, application development, and analytics to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business and clinical objectives. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate data seamlessly across platforms while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and cybersecurity. This is a highly visible leadership position that directly influences operational efficiency, decision-making, and long-term growth.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Architect and oversee the implementation of advanced IT strategies for data and analytics, ensuring they align with the overall business objectives and scientific goals.
- Develop and implement the company-wide enterprise architecture & system integration strategy.
- Communicate complex IT data strategies and insights to a broad range of stakeholders, including non-technical senior management and external partners.
- Lead the development of secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems and platforms for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop integrations across the business system landscape.
- Ensure robust data integrity, quality control, and cybersecurity measures are in place to protect sensitive research data.
- Collaborate with senior management, research teams, and IT staff to ensure seamless integration of analytic capabilities into research and clinical trial processes.
Requirements
About You
Are you a strategic IT leader with deep experience in enterprise architecture, application development, and data strategy within a regulated clinical or life sciences environment? Can you combine technical expertise with executive presence, leading high-performing teams while aligning technology initiatives with business growth, compliance, and operational excellence, you will thrive here.
To be successful we are looking for the following traits and behaviors:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on information technology.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within a CRO or life sciences industry, focusing on data analytics and management.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing IT systems, including knowledge of cloud computing, SDLC processes, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape in clinical research, particularly as it relates to data security and privacy.
- Strong technical proficiency in application development, data storage/structures, modern integration patterns and analytics
