Hospice - Full Time Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)
Amarillo, TX
This is a part-time/per diem role with per visit pay. The candidate for this role will receive mileage pay and must be comfortable working approximately a 60-mile radius from Amarillo.
Job Summary:
Primary function is to provide healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patient and family and share observations and problems with the supervisor.
Responsibilities:
  • Promote hospice mission, goals and philosophy.
  • Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency.
  • Demonstrate compliance with policies, procedures, regulations defining scope of practice.
  • Promote security and safety of Protected Health Information.
  • Participate in programs and on committees as requested.
  • Participate in ongoing education as required.
  • Provide services according to the Hospice Aide Care Plan.
  • Coordinate with RN-develop/update plan of care to meet the needs.
  • Attend IDG meetings, as requested.
  • Document services and submit timely.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Report changes to the RN.
Qualifications:
  • State Driver's License .
  • At least one year preferred, as a hospice aide or nursing assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Sensitivity to issues of loss and grief; Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job and population serviced; Ability to work without consistent direct supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • CPR certified; TB health screen or TB test/CXR according to policy; Hepatitis B Vaccination Consent/Declination
