Position Summary
-
The agency administrator is responsible for all activities of the home care agency. The administrator plans and develops, under the guidance of Executive Director, new programs, recruits and interviews potential new staff, establishes mechanisms for measuring quality care and organizational performance. The administrator is also responsible for the delivery of quality patient care,case management of patients, supervision of assigned personnel, and promoting collaboration among the multi-disciplinary health care team.The Administrator is accountable for overall division performance ensures productivity is maintained at established daily visit levels for all categories of field staff, reviews monthly financial reports and takes appropriate corrective action as needed. The administrator also collects & reviews visit volume data by skill to ensure availability of services in assigned agency offices and manages the referral database for the agencies. The Administrator also participates in development & maintenance of the agency operating & capital budget. The Administrator assures that care is provided in accordance with agency and health system's values, vision, mission, goals, policies and procedures, and State, Federal and JCAHO guidelines.

3-5 Years healthcare management - Required

Minimum of three years administrative supervisory experience in home care - Preferred

Core Job Functions
- Responsible for agency compliance to all applicable state, federal and other regulatory and accreditation standards as they apply to administrative functions. Seeks and follows appropriate Legal Counsel on matters such as patient grievances, personnel matters, and questionable procedures, Medicaid and Medicare denials and appeals, Worker’s compensation and relays relevant information to staff as appropriate. Leads Professional Advisory Committee for agency
- Reviews and provides monthly financial reports, key indicators, operational and marketing summary , taking appropriate corrective action as performance indicates. Develops and implements capital and operational budget. Establishes and provides yearly strategic plan using system strategies to leadership, monitors growth and assist in identifying marketing and new business ventures.
- Assists in developing new marketing strategies, recommends potential business opportunities in the CON area serve by the provider number
- Reviews policies and procedures as they are updated and as needed to ensure compliance. Maintains knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, as well as maintains knowledge of individual payer source guidelines to ensure fiscal responsibility. Actively participates in the ongoing development and implementation of continuous quality improvement processes.
