We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Part-Time Intern to work on-site at our headquarters in Opelika, Alabama. The Accounting Intern will work closely with an experienced accounting professional to develop practical knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Perform data entry such as entering bills into QuickBooks.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in developing and implementing budget frameworks, including creation of new Excel-based budget templates.
- Perform budget analysis and variance reporting.
- Conduct historical commission calculations and reallocate commissions from cash to accrual basis.
- Calculate trade revenue and expenses on an accrual basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
What We Require for This Role:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Quickbooks preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
