Position Summary
The Senior Manager - Growth leads the operational strategy and cross-functional coordination of recruitment across Kappa Delta’s collegiate chapters, spanning both primary recruitment and continuous open bidding (COB). This role is responsible for building and strengthening the recruitment operating model—including data collection and governance, role clarity, and performance monitoring—so staff and volunteer partners can execute consistently, and chapters can improve outcomes over time.
The Senior Manager - Growth is a key partner to the Director of Member Experience and supports the National Vice President–Membership. The role is responsible for updates to recruitment policy and practice, turning strategy into project plans, facilitating change management, and implementing process improvements. The role also equips local and national recruitment volunteers with training, resources, reporting, and performance trends that support data-informed chapter guidance.
This is a full-time staff position that may be based at headquarters in Memphis, TN or remote. The Training & Development Manager–Growth reports to the Director of Member Experience.

Essential Functions
Recruitment Operating Model & Strategic Execution
- Build and maintain the recruitment operating model for primary recruitment and COB, including reporting rhythms, stakeholder roles, and performance expectations
- Translate NVP–Membership priorities into actionable operational plans, milestones, and coordination across staff and volunteer partners
- Partner with Training & Development Manager–Recruitment to ensure the recruitment resource supports real operational needs and performance goals
- Establish clear definitions, standards, and success measures that support consistent execution across chapters
Policy & Governance Support
- Draft and recommend recruitment policy language updates and process improvements for review by the Director of Member Experience and approval by the NVP–Membership
- Support exception review workflows by providing analysis and context to volunteer leaders involved in exception approvals (e.g., Chapter Recruitment Specialists)
- Prepare decision-ready materials for leadership (NVP–Membership and, as appropriate, National Council) including risks, tradeoffs, and recommended options
Data Transparency, Performance Monitoring, and Insights
- Own recruitment performance analytics and reporting, with emphasis on transparency, consistency, and actionable insights
- Mine and synthesize data that supports volunteer leaders and staff in identifying trends, risks, and chapters needing additional support
- Develop and maintain reporting outputs and dashboards (in partnership with relevant departments) that inform chapter guidance and intervention decision-making
- Establish KPI frameworks aligned to multi-year goals (e.g., recruitment resource implementation and PRRS improvement trajectory)
Volunteer Partnership & Chapter-Facing Enablement
- Serve as HQ’s primary operational partner to volunteer recruitment leadership, especially Chapter Recruitment Specialists/Managers and CAB–Recruitment & Marketing
- Coordinate with LDCs and CRSs to ensure alignment between on-the-ground guidance and enterprise strategies, tools, and reporting
- Build clarity and transparency around recruitment volunteer opportunities and role expectations in collaboration with the Director of Member Experience and NVP–Membership
First 90 Days (Onboarding & Capability Build)
- Complete structured immersion across all recruitment-related roles and workflows through shadowing, reading, and stakeholder interviews
- Produce a current-state assessment of recruitment operations: tools, stakeholder roles, reporting, governance, friction points, and gaps
- Establish an initial recruitment performance reporting cadence and a baseline insights package to support leadership decisions
- Study for and pass Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; begin applying project discipline to recruitment operational build-out
First Year
- Document a comprehensive recruitment practices framework for primary recruitment and COB (end-to-end workflows, standards, decision points, roles/responsibilities, and governance),validated with key volunteer and staff stakeholders.
- Complete an enterprise-wide gap analysis of recruitment practices, resources, data/reporting, and role clarity; identify the highest-impact improvement opportunities and root causes.
- Develop and begin implementing a prioritized change management roadmap for the rollout of the national recruitment resource in coordination with the Training and Development Manager – Growth.
- Launch and facilitate training, with support from the Training and Development Manager–Growth, of the national recruitment resource.
- Establish a repeatable performance monitoring rhythm (dashboards/insight reports + review cadence) that supports data-informed chapter guidance and leadership decision-making, including PRRS improvement tracking.

Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional experience in training & development, instructional design, enablement, member/volunteer education, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed environments with volunteer leadership structures
- Strong data literacy and experience producing decision-ready reporting, KPI frameworks, and performance insights
- Strong project management capability with evidence of building new operational capacity from the ground up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear, usable guidance
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ability to learn technology platforms quickly (e.g., LMS, content libraries, CRM reporting outputs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and meeting facilitation
- Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills
- Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, and ability to learn new technology platforms quickly

- Ability to travel occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Experience working with or supporting volunteer-led organizations, higher education-adjacent environments, or member-based associations
- Membership in Kappa Delta Sorority
