About the role

CIBSE is seeking an Events Marketing Executive to support with delivering campaigns for its growing events portfolio, both in the UK and globally. The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects, including conferences, exhibitions and awards. The candidate will be required to work across the full range of marketing channels, mainly email, social media and paid advertising to attract new audiences, engage partners and nurture sales leads. What you will do

  • Plan, organise and execute marketing campaigns for CIBSE events to drive registrations.
  • Track, measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gathering insights to continually improve and optimise performance.
  • Develop and maintain content across CIBSE’s digital channels, including the website, email and social media.
  • Work closely with delegates, partners and internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and enhance the attendee experience.
  • Oversee CIBSE’s presence at external events, managing logistics such as ordering display materials and coordinating booth design.
  • Collaborate with other teams to explore cross-promotion opportunities for CIBSE events.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform other related tasks to meet the overall business objectives of the Institution.

What you will need to be successful

The role would suit a candidate who is looking for an autonomous opportunity, yet someone comfortable being hands-on and happy to get stuck in from day one. You will be able to demonstrate some prior events marketing experience and bring a can-do and willing attitude.

  • Prior experience in events marketing.
  • Experience in engineering or the built environment advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with attendees at events, encourage participation and build meaningful connections.
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proficiency in using CRM (Salesforce preferable) and email marketing platforms (Pardot preferable).
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and tools.

The pay for this role is:

up to £32,000 per year
