Field Service Parts Coordinator at AIRSYS Cooling Technology – Greer, South Carolina

Position Summary

The Field Service Parts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring field technicians have the correct parts, tools, and materials required to complete service work efficiently. This role manages parts fulfillment, inventory accuracy, shipping/receiving for service jobs, and communication between field technicians, service operations, and the warehouse. The coordinator plays a critical role in service response time, first‑time fix rates, and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Coordination & Fulfillment

• Receive parts requests from field technicians and service managers.
• Pick, pack, and ship parts to job sites, technician trucks, or customer locations.
• Ensure urgent or same‑day requests are processed quickly and accurately.
• Organize returns of unused or defective parts.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate counts of service parts inventory.
• Replenish low‑stock items by submitting purchase requests.
• Track high‑usage parts and recommend stocking level adjustments.
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Logistics & Shipping

• Coordinate couriers, freight, and local delivery services as needed.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and tracking information.
• Monitor incoming shipments and notify stakeholders of delays.

Technician Support

• Provide technicians with correct part numbers, alternatives, or compatibility info.
• Assist with locating hard‑to-find or specialty parts.
• Communicate ETAs, backorders, and urgent updates.

Systems & Documentation

• Enter parts orders and inventory transactions in the company’s ERP or service system.
• Maintain records of part usage per job, per technician, and per customer.
• Support warranty claims by documenting part defects and returns.

Qualifications

Required

• 1–3 years experience in service parts, logistics, inventory, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with parts catalogs, ERP systems, or service management software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication with both field technicians and office teams.

Preferred

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical, industrial, or technical service industries.
• Understanding of service workflows (work orders, dispatch, RMA, warranty).
• Forklift certification is a plus.
