Job Summary
You'll oversee and support business growth, profitability, and retention by formulating customer service strategies and ensuring effective staff implementation within the Employee Benefits Sales and Service Office. Collaborate with the Director of Field Service to coordinate service strategies for designated offices that are consistent with the overall vision of the sales organization. Serve as a strategic partner with the Employee Benefits Sales Manager to achieve office objectives, supporting long-term profitability and growth in alignment with divisional goals. Manage facility operations and monitor expenses to ensure efficient performance.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure appropriate focus on the customer is achieved throughout the customer life cycle. Provide leadership and counseling to the staff to manage their block of customers towards successful renewals, salable due to consistent service delivery. Support staffs’ advocacy of the customer within The Standard with all key internal partners, including within EB Operations and across ISG including Sales RVPs, Sales Managers and Sales Reps.
- Review, negotiate and resolve complex service issues escalated by staff and other internal and external customers. Attend finalist presentations or other customer facing meetings and regularly accompany Account Managers on broker and/or customer visits.
- Lead and motivate the Sales Administrative Coordinators to ensure appropriate support of the sales organization. Provide leadership, counseling and training to the Sales Administrative Coordinators to meet accuracy and production goals. Manage and monitor RFP process through Salesforce.
- Invest in and develop your team; create a performance based, incented workforce, contribute to the setting of strategy and policy of Employee Benefits Division, reflect corporate philosophies and stature. Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, appraisal and salary recommendations of reporting subordinates. Contribute to the company’s progress in affirmative action.
- Audit and monitor individual and office results frequently and, in partnership with the Director, Field Service and Employee Benefits Sales Manager, redirect strategies as needed to meet financial objectives for profit and growth.
- Travel to satellite offices as needed to ensure process consistency and staff engagement.
- Administer operation of facility, including leases, expense allocations, banking, local vendors, furniture, equipment, systems and office relocation. Monitor office budget results and readdress expense allocations if appropriate.
* Ability to work Central Time Zone hours is a requirement of the role. *
Skills and Background You'll Need
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 5+ years' experience leading a team in the Employee Benefits Insurance industry required.
Travel: You will be required to travel in your territory (central area) for client satisfaction visits and employee visits.
Professional certification required: Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s assigned territory and the state of New York.
Other: Personal automobile is available for business use with adequate insurance and a safe driving record.

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.
The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
Salary Range:
$87,250.00 - $139,500.00Positions will be posted for at least 5 days from original posting date.
