About This Position

Title: Development Associate for Business Council Partnerships

Company: Democratic Attorneys General Association, Inc.

Location: Washington, DC

Reports To: Senior Director of Development

Salary Range: $50,000-$53,000

Purpose:


The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) seeks to hire an entry-level team member for the Development Department. The entry-level Associate role would assist existing development staffers with primary fundraising responsibilities. This person will work closely with the Director of Business Council Partnerships and other senior level members of the Development team to meet aggressive fundraising goals for the 2026 election cycle. The ideal candidate will be professional, resourceful, results-oriented, and enthusiastic about providing critical support to the development team and interfacing with DAGA partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Development Department on all aspects of the DAGA’s Partnership Program.
  • Execute department invoicing, purchase orders and payments, maintain tracking documents, updating department database.
  • Support moves management processes including research, prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, pledge follow up and call time and completing all necessary follow up at each stage.
  • Support ongoing donor research and prospecting programs.
  • Partner stewardship, including scheduling meetings with donors, facilitating high-level donor communications and outreach, and completing all necessary follow up from meetings/calls.
  • Support partner activations at conferences, including managing meeting briefings to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Draft memos and background materials for development meetings and events for AGs and DAGA leadership.
  • Support event fundraising logistics including managing venue selection, creating invitations, managing RSVPs, and coordinating day of logistics with attention to detail.
  • Required work on some evenings and weekends for fundraising events.


  • Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • 1-2 Years Campaign Experience (internship, volunteering included), fundraising experience preferred
  • Experience with CRM (NGP Preferred)
  • Ability to function independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong Decision-Making and Organizational Skills
  • Event Coordination Experience
  • Experienced in Donor Research
  • Extremely Detail Oriented
  • Sense of humor and positive attitude with your team, DAGA staff, and Attorney’s General
  • Interest in furthering the mission of DAGA

  • Compensation and Benefits:

    The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $53,000, commensurate with experience.

  • DAGA’s office is open 9 AM – 6 PM Eastern, but extended and nontraditional work hours are required.
