Job OverviewCompany: Pacific Tech Communications Inc.
Salary/Pay Rate: $30 to $40 per hour (based on experience) plus Performance Bonus.
Location: Onsite (Travel Projects with per diem).
Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
Schedule: Monday Friday.
Project Scope: Residential, Commercial, and Government/Federal Civil Construction.
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: CDL, OSHA 10, and OSHA 30.
You will play a vital role in the expansion of critical communication infrastructure by executing precise underground utility installations. How You Will Make an ImpactExecute complex horizontal directional drilling maneuvers to install fiber and conduit in diverse soil conditions.
Interpret utility maps and bore plans to maintain accurate drill paths and avoid existing underground infrastructure.
Operate and maintain specialized HDD equipment and locating systems to ensure project precision and safety.
Coordinate with field crews to streamline daily bore operations and meet strict project timelines.
Document daily production reports and safety inspections to maintain high-quality work standards on every site.
Implement rigorous safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards to protect the crew and the public.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in Horizontal Directional Drilling and locating.
Proven proficiency in operating HDD rigs and advanced locating electronics for underground utility placement.
Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret technical blueprints, utility maps, and bore schedules.
Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and current OSHA 10/30 certifications.
Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform mechanically inclined tasks.
Advanced technical training in specialized drilling fluids or rock boring techniques.
Experience mentoring junior crew members on equipment maintenance and safety best practices.
Strong communication skills and a track record of reliability in high-production field environments.
