This role provides leadership to maintenance and janitorial teams while ensuring facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. By coordinating staff, managing work requests and projects, and supporting preventative maintenance and safety programs, the Regional Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining clean, secure, and operational environments that support uninterrupted patient care and advance YVFWC’s mission to provide high‑quality, accessible healthcare to the communities we serve.

Position Highlights:
1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
$26.75-$32.76/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do:
Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate maintenance and janitorial staff, supporting performance management and staff development
Oversee maintenance operations across assigned sites, including facility work requests, equipment servicing, and employee or equipment moves
Monitor and inspect buildings, grounds, and systems (HVAC, utilities, vehicles) to ensure compliance with YVFWC standards and safety requirements
Coordinate maintenance schedules, on‑call coverage, and project timelines to ensure appropriate staffing and timely completion of work
Assess and perform small maintenance and construction projects, including material purchasing and general repairs
Ensure safety inspections, documentation, and facilities programs are completed in compliance with corporate, state, and federal requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in construction, business, or a related field + 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, mechanical systems, and/or construction-related field (This includes two-three years of supervisory experience) OR
High School Diploma or GED + 7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, mechanical systems, and/or construction-related field (This includes two-three years of supervisory experience)
Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance
Journeyman-level qualifications in carpentry or other related building trade preferred
Forklift operator license preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance practices
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to frequent interruptions
Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and maintenance best practices
Ability to read construction drawings, as‑built plans, and O&M manuals
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
